In July 2016 I got a brilliant Fathers Day present from my wife and kids –  the chance build my own guitar under the tutalaege of experienced luthier David Payne at his Boatyard Guitar Workshop in Brentford, London.

After 9 months of Sunday afternoon sessions, endless cups of tea and bit too much Italian prog, this thinline Jazzmaster is the end result. Along the way I tried to take photos of every stage of the process and this site captures them all in one place.
